The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah for a period of 3 months for failing a drug test. The test was randomly conducted in December last year and Shah had tested positive for a banned substance as per the ICC standards. Owing to the ban, he will be missing Pakistan’s campaign in the upcoming T20 Asia Cup and the all important ICC World T20 in India. The talented leg spinner also won’t feature in the ongoing inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL) in UAE.
Shah’s ban will precisely end on 28th March 2016 and will be available after the mentioned date. With Pakistan’s next international fixture against England after the T20 World Cup, it seems that Shah will make a comeback to international cricket only during the team’s tour of England.
